Deborah Brothers holds a Ph.D. in English Studies and brings a scholar’s attention and a reader’s curiosity to the world of children’s and young adult literature. Her book reviews have appeared in Choice and The Lion and the Unicorn, and her essays, fiction, and scholarly work have appeared in several publications. 

This site is a space for thinking about books written for young readers: picture books, middle grade novels, young adult literature, classics, new releases, and the many stories that shape how children understand the world. Here, readers will find reflections, reviews, teaching notes, and conversations about the art, imagination, and cultural importance of children’s literature.
